The University has always offered students counseling and other services helpful for applying to professional and graduate schools. To better serve our students, the Office of Career Services & Pre-Professional Programs is the designated unit to provide these services. The University’s pre-professional programs provide a road map for students’ next steps beyond their undergraduate experience. Students receive advice and other services on career choice, graduate school and the opportunity to earn honors distinction through an enhanced academic curriculum.
Pre-Professional Program
The primary goal of the programs is to increase the number of students applying, entering, and graduating from professional and graduate schools. The Office of Career Services & Pre-Professional Programs is committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of students planning a career in law, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or who want to enroll in graduate schools with Ph.D. programs in the biological, chemical, physical or biomedical sciences.
Admission to the programs is selective and academic requirements are rigorous, demanding a high level of dedication and commitment from students. However, the University provides a strong program of support to help assure the success of each student willing to dedicate him or herself. The Office of Career Services & Pre-Professional Programs offer promising students a series of value-added activities to enhance their competitiveness in the professional and graduate school evaluation and admission process.
